D-ID (Denim Identity) was launched for the Fall/Winter 2013 season by French designer Jimmy Traverniti who also serves as creative director. D-ID is made in the USA and Traverniti draws D-ID’s roots from three cities-New York, Los Angeles, and Paris. “Melding East Coast edge, West Coast ease, and Parisian refinement, D-ID offers a subtle and sophisticated approach to premium denim, evolving trends by applying innovative techniques to classic silhouettes.
The Spring/Summer 2014 collection from D-ID features classic cuts with a European 90’s grunge influence. The brand’s signature diamant stitching has been redone from the traditional stitching to smaller diamonds. The latest collection also features a wide variety of new styles and washes such as distressed and light washes with very popular cuts such as shorts and boyfriend jeans. Denim shirts are also part of the highlights of this season. White denim was very popular during the winter season and it is clear that this will continue into spring and summer.
